Eating healthy isn’t just a choice; it’s a lifestyle.
Have you ever experienced
- Unending Muscular Pain
- Constant Fatigue
- Mood Swings
- Digestive Issues
- Weight Fluctuations
- Caught colds and other infections more frequently
Or do you have
- Type 2 diabetes
- Obesity
- High cholesterol
- Heart conditions replace with High blood pressure
- Liver and Kidney issues
Chances are that you are suffering from chronic inflammation.
These are often viewed as isolated problems, but they are frequently linked by one underlying biological mechanism: chronic low-grade inflammation (Fig. 1). We now understand that inflammation plays a key role in the initiation and development of these conditions (Fig. 1).
What we eat and how we eat can significantly influence inflammation in our bodies. By making informed dietary choices, you can reduce inflammation and improve your overall health.

How I Can Help You
As an APD, my goal is to equip you with the practical knowledge and culturally relevant strategies necessary to make smart food choices that fit into your life.
Personalized Nutrition Plan
Together, we will create a meal plan that addresses your needs following the below steps:
- Comprehensive Initial Discussion: We will discuss your health goals, review your medical history, understand your daily routine (work, family, exercise), and—most importantly—talk about your personal food preferences and cultural background.
- Full Nutritional Assessment: I will conduct a comprehensive dietetic assessment to get a complete picture of your nutritional status.
- Personalised, Evidence-Based Education: My first priority is to help you understand the “why.” I will clearly explain the connection between your health condition (e.g., Type 2 Diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol) and your diet. We will translate complex medical advice into simple, practical information you can use immediately.
- Collaborative Goal-Setting: Together, we will set realistic, achievable, and sustainable health goals that are meaningful to you. We will focus on building positive habits, not on restrictive or “non-diet” approaches.
- Developing Your Practical, Culture-Centric Plan:
- Practical meal and snack ideas that you and your family will actually enjoy.
- Adapting evidence-based guidelines (like the DASH or Mediterranean diet) to your specific cultural cuisine (e.g., Indian, East Asian).
- Visual guides for portioning (like my “Diabetic Macros Plate”).
- Tips for shopping, label reading, and eating out.
- Ongoing Support and Follow-Up: We will schedule regular follow-up appointments to track your progress, celebrate your successes, and solve any challenges that come up. I will adjust your plan as your needs change and provide continuous support.
If you or someone you know is looking for a dietitian who understands their diet without having to translate their plate, please connect with me.
My dedication to nutrition isn't just professional—it's personal.
Right from childhood, my family was marred by chronic conditions—including Type 1 & Type 2 Diabetes, Obesity, Heart health issues, Rheumatoid Arthritis, and mental health issues. As I grew, I experienced similar struggles: Polycystic Ovarian syndrome (PCOS) in my teens, Gestational Diabetes (GDM) during pregnancy, and difficulty losing weight after my pregnancy which also resulted in muscular issues. When I was growing up, in the 90’s ultra processed foods (UPFs) (yes, they have their own category now!) were not a part of my food environment. My diet comprised mainly of homemade food. But slowly the food environment around me started changing and became increasingly obesogenic.
My experience taught me the profound lesson that these conditions were a result of:
- A lack of nuanced knowledge—misunderstanding portion sizes, nutritional quality, and variety within our everyday cultural foods.
- The obesogenic environment around us that pushes UPFs, even into well-meaning diets.
Let’s work together to address the root causes!
By working together, we can focus on identifying and addressing the underlying factors contributing to your health challenges.
Through the power of nutrition, I aim to support you in making meaningful changes that will enhance your overall well-being and help you achieve a healthier, happier life.
